Silent Feather Design
Silent Feather Design is an offline bio-inspired engineering studio that explores how owl feathers suppress flight noise and lets users apply those mechanisms to virtual airfoil designs. Users build airfoils with adjustable leading-edge comb spacing, trailing-edge fringe length, and velvet-like surface texture, then test them in a simulated wind tunnel with real-time noise spectrum charts. The app includes a 3D microstructure viewer, twelve design challenges with target noise floors, a library of twelve owl species adaptations, side-by-side comparison, PDF report export, guided tutorials, a glossary, and an in-app privacy policy. All content is bundled; there is no network, account, or IAP.
